I am a first time home buyer and I have recently purchased a home in the Ottawa area with the help of Royal LePage Realtor. The agent that I dealt with, Todd McLaughlin, was an excellent agent who helped me through the whole process.

When I first began my search for a house I was in contact with a few agents from other agencies. I attempted to contact them in the hopes that they would be able to help me find houses in the area and arrange to take me to see them. What I found with the other agencies was that they took a lot of time to get back to me and left most of the searching up to me.

When I began to deal with Mr. McLaughlin, however, I found the excellent service I had expected from an agent. He made note of all my information and details concerning the type of house I was looking for right from the beginning and we got into looking for houses right away with no time wasted. I was set up with an MLS account and then Mr. McLaughlin basically did the house searching for me. I would get regular emails updating me on houses he had found or that had recently gone up for sale in my requested region. Once a house came up that I was interested in seeing, all I had to do was email Mr. McLaughlin and he would set up a viewing at my convenience.

Eventually I was able to pick the house I wanted and during the offering process Mr. McLaughlin would always drive out to me so I could sign the papers and was always open for any questions I had. I had learned a lot from the process as Mr. McLaughlin always would clarify things and fill me in on any detail that would aid my decision in purchasing a home. He was a very reliable, kind, and respectable agent to work with.
