The West Centretown Neighbourhood

Another community with close proximity to Downtown Ottawa and within the central core of the capital city is West Centertown. Stretching from Dow’s Lake at the southern end, upwards to the Ottawa River, these are actually a few distinct neighbourhoods that have built up over time: Dow’s Lake, Little Italy, Somerset (Chinatown) and LeBreton Flats. Close to work, play, shops, restaurants and urban nature, West Centretown is a great part of Ottawa to call home.

Because of the well-defined and varied nature of these neighbourhoods, West Centertown homes in Ottawa offer you the choice of anything from singles, semis and towns to mid-rise and high-rise condo. Fancy an older home in an established neighbourhood? Dow’s Lake homes are just that, with easy access to the Glebe, downtown, even the world-famous Ottawa Tulip Festival. Just around the lake at the top end is Little Italy, offering everything from quaint semis to lofts to condos in the newest and biggest high rises in Ottawa. Cross the Queensway and you’ve got an up-and-coming area along Preston Street and Somerset, with great potential due to its proximity to downtown Ottawa. And just north from there is LeBreton Flats, with new mid-rise and low-rise condos and a whole host of future development in the works.
